Narrator:Anas ibn Mālik

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ

دَعَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم غُلاَمًا حَجَّامًا فَحَجَمَهُ، وَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِصَاعٍ أَوْ صَاعَيْنِ، أَوْ مُدٍّ أَوْ مُدَّيْنِ، وَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ فَخُفِّفَ مِنْ ضَرِيبَتِهِ‏.‏

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet (ﷺ) sent for a slave who had the profession of cupping, and he cupped him. The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that he be paid one or two Sas, or one or two Mudds of foodstuff, and appealed to his masters to reduce his taxes:

قَوْله : ( عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيل عَنْ أَنَس ) فِي رِوَايَة الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْه " عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ سَمِعْت أَنَسًا ". قَوْله : ( دَعَا النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلَامًا ) هُوَ أَبُو طَيْبَة كَمَا تَقَدَّمَ قَبْل بَاب , وَاسْم أَبِي طَيْبَة نَافِع عَلَى الصَّحِيح , فَقَدْ رَوَى أَحْمَد وَابْن السَّكَن وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ حَدِيث مُحَيِّصَةَ بْن مَسْعُود أَنَّهُ " كَانَ لَهُ غُلَام حَجَّام يُقَال لَهُ نَافِع أَبُو طَيْبَة فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلهُ عَنْ خَرَاجه " الْحَدِيث , وَحَكَى اِبْن عَبْد الْبَرّ فِي اِسْم أَبِي طَيْبَة أَنَّهُ دِينَار , وَوَهَمُوهُ فِي ذَلِكَ لِأَنَّ دِينَارًا الْحَجَّام تَابِعِيّ رَوَى عَنْ…

Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) called for young cupper belonging to us. He capped him and he (the Holy Prophet) commanded that he should be paid one sa' or one mudd or two mudds (of wheat). It was said (that charges were high) and a reduction was made in the charges.

دَعَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم غُلاَمًا لَنَا حَجَّامًا فَحَجَمَهُ فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِصَاعٍ أَوْ مُدٍّ أَوْ مُدَّيْنِ وَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ فَخُفِّفَ عَنْ ضَرِيبَتِهِ ‏.‏

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had himself cupped and gave the one who cupped him his pay; and if it were prohibited he would not have given him (his pay). [Reported by al-Bukhari].

Anas said that God’s messenger had himself cupped on the surface of his foot because of a pain in it while he was in the sacred state. Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it.

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: احْتَجَمَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْقَدَمِ مِنْ وَجَعٍ كَانَ بِهِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ
