Narrator:Anas ibn Mālik

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، ح قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم

يَتَوَضَّأُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلاَةٍ‏.‏

‘Amr ibn ‘Āmir related that Anas ibn Mālik reported:

The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution upon every prayer. I asked: "What did you guys use to do?" He said: "Ablution would remain valid for any of us until he broke it."

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution for every obligatory prayer, even if his ablution was not broken. This is to attain the reward and merit.

It is permissible to perform more than one obligatory prayer with one ablution, so long as the ablution remains valid.

Explanation in Arabic

كان النبيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يتوضأ لكلِّ صلاةٍ مفروضةٍ وإنْ لم يَنْتَقِضْ وضوؤُه؛ وذلك لتحصيل الأجر والفضل.

ويجوز أن يُصلِّي أكثرَ مِن صلاةٍ مفروضةٍ بوضوء واحد ما دام على وضوئه.

  • أكثرُ فِعْلِ النبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم هو الوضوء لكل صلاة؛ طلبًا للأكمل.
  • استحباب الوضوء عند كل صلاة.
  • جواز تأدية أكثر من صلاة بوضوء واحد.

قَوْله : ( حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّد بْن يُوسُف ) هُوَ الْفِرْيَابِيّ , وَسُفْيَان هُوَ الثَّوْرِيّ. قَوْله : ( وَحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدِّد ) هُوَ تَحْوِيل إِلَى إِسْنَاد ثَانٍ قَبْل ذِكْر الْمَتْن , وَإِنَّمَا ذَكَرَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ الْأَوَّل أَعْلَى لِتَصْرِيحِ سُفْيَان الثَّوْرِيّ فِيهِ بِالتَّحْدِيثِ , وَعَمْرو بْن عَامِر كُوفِيّ أَنْصَارِيّ وَقِيلَ بَجَلِيّ , وَصَحَّحَ الْمِزِّيُّ أَنَّ الْبَجَلِيّ رَاوٍ آخَر غَيْر هَذَا الْأَنْصَارِيّ , وَلَيْسَ لِهَذَا فِي الْبُخَارِيّ غَيْر ثَلَاثَة أَحَادِيث كُلّهَا عَنْ أَنَس , وَلَيْسَ لِلْبَجَلِيِّ عِنْده رِوَايَة , وَقَدْ يَلْتَبِس بِهِ عُمَر بْن عَامِر بِضَمِّ الْعَيْن رَاوٍ آخَر بَصْرِيّ سُلَمِيّ أَخْرَجَ لَهُ مُسْلِم , وَلَيْسَ لَهُ فِي الْبُخَارِيّ شَيْء…
