حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ التَّمِيمِيِّ الَّذِي، يُحَدِّثُ بِالتَّفْسِيرِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ خَلْفِهِ فَرَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ وَهُوَ مُجَخٍّ قَدْ فَرَّجَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ‏.‏

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:

I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) from behind. I saw the whiteness of his armpits and he kept his arms away from his sides and raised his stomach (from the ground).

( عَنْ التَّمِيمِيّ ) : اِسْمه أَرْبِدَة بِسُكُونِ الرَّاء بَعْدهَا مُوَحَّدَة مَكْسُورَة وَيُقَال أَرْبِد الْمُفَسِّر صَدُوق عَنْ اِبْن عَبَّاس , وَعَنْهُ أَبُو إِسْحَاق السَّبِيعِيّ وَالْمِنْهَال بْن عَمْرو ( فَرَأَيْت بَيَاض إِبْطَيْهِ ) : فِيهِ دَلِيل عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهِ قَمِيص لِانْكِشَافِ إِبْطَيْهِ وَتُعُقِّبَ بِاحْتِمَالِ أَنْ يَكُون الْقَمِيص وَاسِع الْأَكْمَام , وَقَدْ رَوَى التِّرْمِذِيّ فِي الشَّمَائِل عَنْ أُمّ سَلَمَة قَالَتْ : كَانَ أَحَبّ الثِّيَاب إِلَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقَمِيص أَوْ أَرَادَ الرَّاوِي أَنَّ مَوْضِع بَيَاضهمَا لَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْب لَرُئِيَ قَالَهُ الْقُرْطُبِيّ. وَاسْتُدِلَّ بِهِ عَلَى أَنَّ إِبْطَيْهِ صَلَ…

"When the Prophet (ﷺ) fell to the ground during prostration, he held his arms away from his sides and bent his toes."

When the Prophet(ﷺ) prostrated himself, he kept his arms so far away from his sides that if a lamb had wanted to pass under his arms, it could have done so.

إِذَا سَجَدَ جَافَى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى لَوْ أَنَّ بَهْمَةً أَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَمُرَّ تَحْتَ يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتْ ‏.‏

When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prostrated himself, if a lamb wanted to pass between his arms, it could pass.
