Sunan Abu Dawud 1757

I twisted with my own hands the garlands for the Budn of the Prophet (ﷺ) who garlanded and marked them, and then made them proceed to Mecca; Yet no permissible thing was regarded as illegal for him then.

فَتَلْتُ قَلاَئِدَ بُدْنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِيَدَىَّ، ثُمَّ قَلَّدَهَا وَأَشْعَرَهَا وَأَهْدَاهَا، فَمَا حَرُمَ عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ كَانَ أُحِلَّ لَهُ‏.‏

I wove the collars for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) then I marked them and he - or I - put the collars on their necks, and he sent them to the Ka‘bah and stayed at Madīnah, and he was not forbidden from anything which was lawful for him (before sending them)

فَتَلْتُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْىِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ أَشْعَرَهَا وَقَلَّدَهَا ـ أَوْ قَلَّدْتُهَا ـ ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ، وَأَقَامَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَمَا حَرُمَ عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ كَانَ لَهُ حِلٌّ‏.‏

I wove the garlands for the sacrificial animals of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) with my own bands, and then he (the Holy Prophet) marked them, and garlanded them, and then sent them to the House, and stayed at Medina and nothing was forbidden to him which was lawful for him (before).

فَتَلْتُ قَلاَئِدَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِيَدَىَّ ثُمَّ أَشْعَرَهَا وَقَلَّدَهَا ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ وَأَقَامَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَمَا حَرُمَ عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ كَانَ لَهُ حِلاًّ ‏.‏

Narrated by Ā’ishah

"I twisted the garlands of the Budn of the Messenger of Allah with my own hands, then he garlanded it and marked it, and directed it toward the House and sent it. But he stayed with his family, and nothing became forbidden for him that was allowed."

فَتَلْتُ قَلاَئِدَ بُدْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِيَدَىَّ ثُمَّ قَلَّدَهَا وَأَشْعَرَهَا وَوَجَّهَهَا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ وَبَعَثَ بِهَا وَأَقَامَ فَمَا حَرُمَ عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ كَانَ لَهُ حَلاَلاً ‏.‏

Ibn 'Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to start saying the Talbiyah. (after entering the state of Ihram) from the mosque of Dhul Hulaifa (i.e. from the Miqat of Madinah). Agreed upon.

Messenger of Allah (SWAS) prayed four rak’ahs at Madinah and prayed two rak’ahs of afternoon prayer at Dhu-al Hulaifah. He then passed the night at Dhu-al Hulaifah till the morning came. When he rode on his mount and it stood up on its back, he raised his voice in talbiyah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) set out from Medina with over one thousand of his companions (at the time of the Treaty of Hudaibiya) and when they reached Dhul-Hulaifa, the Prophet (ﷺ) garlanded his Hadi and marked it and assumed Ihram for `Umra.
