حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، - الْمَعْنَى - عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا السُّورَةَ - قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ فِي غَيْرِ الصَّلاَةِ ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا - فَيَسْجُدُ وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى لاَ يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا مَكَانًا لِمَوْضِعِ جَبْهَتِهِ ‏.‏

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would recite to us a surah (according to the version of Ibn Numair) outside the prayer (the agreed version goes), then he would prostrate along with him, and none of us could find a place for his forehead.

Al-Azimabadi — Awn al-Ma'bud

( الْمَعْنَى ) : أَيْ وَاحِد وَكِلَاهُمَا أَيْ يَحْيَى بْن سَعِيد وَابْن نُمَيْر يَرْوِيَانِ عَنْ عُبَيْد اللَّه ( ثُمَّ اِتَّفَقَا ) : أَيْ يَحْيَى بْن سَعِيد وَابْن نُمَيْر ( لَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا مَكَانًا ) : لِكَثْرَةِ الزِّحَامِ وَاخْتِلَاطِ النَّاسِ. وَرَوَى الْبَيْهَقِيُّ بِإِسْنَادٍ صَحِيح عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّه عَنْهُ قَالَ : " إِذَا اِشْتَدَّ الزِّحَام فَلْيَسْجُدْ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى ظَهْرِ أَخِيهِ " أَيْ وَلَوْ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِهِ , مَعَ أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ فِيهِ يَسِيرٌ , وَلَا بُدَّ مِنْ إِمْكَانِهِ مَعَ الْقُدْرَة عَلَى رِعَايَة هَيْئَة السَّاجِد بِأَنْ يَكُونَ عَلَى مُرْتَفِعٍ وَالْمَسْجُودُ عَلَيْهِ فِي مُنْخَفَضٍ , وَبِهِ قَالَ أَحْمَدُ وَالْكُوفِيُّونَ. وَقَالَ مَالِك : يُمْسِك ف…

When the Prophet (ﷺ) recited a Sura that contained the prostration he would prostrate and we would do the same and some of us (because of the heavy rush) could not find a place for prostration.

يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا السُّورَةَ فِيهَا السَّجْدَةُ، فَيَسْجُدُ وَنَسْجُدُ، حَتَّى مَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا مَوْضِعَ جَبْهَتِهِ‏.‏

When the Prophet (ﷺ) recited Surat As-Sajda and we were with him, he would prostrate and we also would prostrate with him and some of us (because of the heavy rush) would not find a place (for our foreheads) to prostrate on.

يَقْرَأُ السَّجْدَةَ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ فَيَسْجُدُ وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ فَنَزْدَحِمُ حَتَّى مَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا لِجَبْهَتِهِ مَوْضِعًا يَسْجُدُ عَلَيْهِ‏.‏

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while reciting the Qur'an recited its surah containing sajda, and he performed prostration and we also prostrated along with him (but we were so overcrowded) that some of us could not find a place for our forehead (when prostrating ourselves).

يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ فَيَقْرَأُ سُورَةً فِيهَا سَجْدَةٌ فَيَسْجُدُ وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى مَا يَجِدُ بَعْضُنَا مَوْضِعًا لِمَكَانِ جَبْهَتِهِ ‏.‏
