Emigration in the way of Allah is extolled here: the verses stress the merit of the emigrants and their reward, secured even for one who dies on the way, and see in it proof of sincere belonging and allegiance. They describe the Emigrants and the Helpers as allies of one another and true believers, and mention the fate of one who accepted oppression without emigrating.
Verses gathered from a topical index of the Quran, in Mushaf order; every verse is quoted in full.
What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allāh has made them fall back [into error and disbelief] for what they earned. Do you wish to guide those whom Allāh has sent astray? And he whom Allāh sends astray - never will you find for him a way [of guidance].
Indeed, those who have believed and emigrated and fought with their wealth and lives in the cause of Allāh and those who gave shelter and aided - they are allies of one another. But those who believed and did not emigrate - for you there is no support of them until they emigrate. And if they seek help of you for the religion, then you must help, except against a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty. And Allāh is Seeing of what you do.
