These verses forbid corruption on earth and recall that Allah loves neither corruption nor those who spread it. They affirm that establishment in the land belongs to those who set things right, invite people to look at the end of the corrupters, and expose those who think themselves reformers while they corrupt. They also speak of people checking one another to end corruption, and of corruption caused by human deeds.
Verses gathered from a topical index of the Quran, in Mushaf order; every verse is quoted in full.
Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He [i.e., Allāh] may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].
