Animals spread over the earth, in all their varied colors, are signs of Allah according to these verses. They set out what may and may not be eaten, call for thanking the Benefactor for them, refute the disbelievers’ claims about livestock and compare the heedless who go astray to cattle; they also mention the beast that will speak to people near the Hour.

وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَخْرَجْنَا لَهُمْ دَآبَّةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ ٨٢
And when the word [i.e., decree] befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith].
