Tafsir of verse 11

Al-Mukhtasar

The person who really benefits from your warning is the one who accepts this Qur’ān and follows what is contained in it, and who fears His Lord in solitude where nobody else sees him. So tell those who have these attributes the pleasing news of Allah’s wiping out their sins and HForgiving them and of a great reward awaiting them in the Hereafter, which is entry into Paradise.

Other translations of verse 11

You can only warn one who follows the Reminder3 and fears the Most Compassionate unseen. So give him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward.

Notes

[3] i.e., the Qur’an.

You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Qur’ân), and fears the Most Gracious (Allâh) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise).

Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward.

Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous.

You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward.

Surely you only warn him who closely follows the Remembrance and is apprehensive of The All-Merciful in the Unseen. So give him the good tidings of forgiveness and an honorable reward.
