Tafsir of verse 22
Al-Mukhtasar
Now press your hand to your side and it will come out white, without any leprosy; that is another sign for you.
Put your hand under your armpit; it will come out shining white without blemish, as another sign7,
Notes
[7] Moses had dark skin, so putting his hand under his armpit and then taking it out shining white without blemish or disease was a real miraculous sign.
"And press your (right) hand to your (left) side: it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign,
And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token.
"Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,-
And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign:
And clasp your hand to your arm-pit; (Literally: your wing) it will come out (Literally: go out) white, without any odious (imperfection); (that is) another sign.
Insert your hand into the opening of your garment; it will come out white, without disease. And draw in your arm close to you [as prevention] from fear, for those are two proofs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his establishment. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."
