Tafsir of verse 76
Al-Mukhtasar
In contrast to the respite granted to those people so that they fall further into misguidance, Allah gives more guidance and obedience to those who are guided. Righteous deeds that lead to perpetual happiness are more beneficial - in the sight of your Lord, O messenger, in terms of their recompense and have a better outcome.
Allah increases in guidance those who are guided, and the righteous deeds of lasting merit are better with your Lord in reward and better in return.
And Allâh increases in guidance those who walk aright.14 And the righteous good deeds that last, are better with your Lord, for reward and better for resort.
Notes
[14] (V.19:76) those who walk aright i.e. the true believers in the Oneness of Allâh - who fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden), and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained).
Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort.
"And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return."
And Allah increases in guidance those who go aright; and ever-abiding good works are with your Lord best in recompense and best in yielding fruit.
And Allah increases the ones who have been guided in guidance. And the enduring things, the deeds of righteousness, are more charitable from the Providence of your Lord in requital and more charitable for turning back.
And whenever a sūrah is revealed, there are among them [i.e., the hypocrites] those who say, "Which of you has this increased in faith?" As for those who believed, it has increased them in faith, while they are rejoicing. …
