Tafsir of verse 28
Al-Mukhtasar
O people! Your creation and your resurrection for accountability and requital on the Day of Judgement, is as easy as creating and resurrecting just one soul. Indeed, Allah hears everything, hearing one sound does not preoccupy Him from hearing another; He also sees everything, seeing one thing does not preoccupy Him from hearing another either. And likewise, creating something and resurrecting it does not preoccupy Him from creating and resurrecting another.
Your creation and resurrection is only like that of a single soul10. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All Seeing.
Notes
[10] The creation and resurrection of all of you are as easy to Allah as that of a single soul.
The creation of you all and the resurrection of you all are only as (the creation and resurrection of) a single person. Verily, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Seer.
Your creation and your raising (from the dead) are only as (the creation and the raising of) a single soul. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower.
And your creation or your resurrection is in no wise but as an individual soul: for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things).
Neither your creation nor your raising is anything but as a single soul; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
In no way is your creation or your rising up anything except as that of a single self; surely Allah is Ever-Hearing, Ever-Beholding.
Certainly has Allāh heard the speech of the one who argues [i.e., pleads] with you, [O Muḥammad], concerning her husband and directs her complaint to Allāh. And Allāh hears your dialogue; indeed, Allāh is Hearing and Seeing.
