Tafsir of verse 61
Al-Mukhtasar
Indeed, Jesus is a sign from the major signs of the Hour, when he shall descend towards the end of time. So do not doubt the Hour’s occurrence and follow me in whatever I have brought to you from Allah. This thing I have brought is the straight path in which there is no deviance.
And he [i.e., Jesus] will be a sign of the Hour; so do not have doubt about it and follow me25. This is a straight path.
Notes
[25] i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ).
And he [‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour (Day of Resurrection) [i.e. ‘Isâ’s (Jesus) descent on the earth].3 Therefore have no doubt concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allâh) (i.e. be obedient to Allâh and do what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the Straight Path (of Islâmic Monotheism, leading to Allâh and to His Paradise).
Notes
[3] (V.43:61) See the footnote of (V.3:55).
And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path.
And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.
And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path.
And surely it is indeed knowledge of the Hour; so definitely do not wrangle about it, and closely follow Me. This is a straight Path.
And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in him [i.e., Jesus] before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness.
