سورة النحل، الآية ٢١
أَمْوَٰتٌ غَيْرُ أَحْيَآءٍ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ ٢١
amwātun ghayru aḥyāin wamā yashʿurūna ayyāna yub'ʿathūna
They are [in fact] dead,695 not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.
[695] i.e., inanimate or without understanding.

Despite the fact that the idol worshippers made their gods with their own hands, they are also lifeless things that have no life nor knowledge. They do not know when they will be resurrected with their worshippers on the Day of Judgement, to be thrown together with them into the fire of Hell.
They are dead, not living12; not even knowing when they will be resurrected.
[12] i.e., inanimate or without understanding.
(They are) dead, not alive; and they know not when they will be raised up.
(They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised.
(They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up.
Dead (are they), not living, and they know not when they shall be raised.
Dead, not alive, (i.e. other than being alive) and in no way are they aware whence they will be made to rise again.
They share a sequence of words with this verse: useful for telling them apart when memorising.
قُل لَّا يَعْلَمُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْغَيْبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ
Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allāh, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected."
