Text of verse 72:20

قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا ۝٢٠

Transliteration

qul innamā adʿū rabbī walā ush'riku bihi aḥadan

Translation

Say, [O Muḥammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone."

Al-Mukhtasar

O Messenger! Say to these idolaters: I only call unto my Lord alone and I do not associate anyone else as partner to Him in worship, whoever he may be.

Other translations of verse 20

Say [O Prophet], “I only supplicate my Lord and I do not associate anyone with Him.”

Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I invoke only my Lord (Allâh Alone), and I associate none as partners along with Him."

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I pray unto Allah only, and ascribe unto Him no partner.

Say: "I do no more than invoke my Lord, and I join not with Him any (false god)."

Say: I only call upon my Lord, and I do not associate any one with Him.

Say, "Surely I invoke only my Lord, and I do not associate with Him anyone."
