Tafsir of verse 27
Al-Mukhtasar
Proclaim amongst the people, calling them towards pilgrimage of this House I ordered you to build. They will come to you walking and riding on every camel which is frail due to the difficulty it endured from travelling. The camels will bring them, carrying them from every distant path.
And proclaim the pilgrimage to all people; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel from every distant pathway,
And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj ).4
Notes
[4] (V.22:27).
a) Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Whoever performs Hajj to this House (Ka‘bah ) and does not approach his wife for sexual relations nor commits sins (while performing Hajj), he will come out as sinless as a newly-born child (just delivered by his mother)." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.3, Hadith No.45).
b) See the footnote of (V.2:196).
And proclaim unto mankind the pilgrimage. They will come unto thee on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every deep ravine,
"And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways;
And proclaim among men the Pilgrimage: they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path,
And announce to mankind the Pilgrimage; they shall come up (hurriedly) to you on foot and upon every slender (conveyance); they shall definitely come up from every deep ravine.
And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.
Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.
