سورة الفرقان، الآية ٩
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ فَضَلُّوا۟ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا ٩
unẓur kayfa ḍarabū laka l-amthāla faḍallū falā yastaṭīʿūna sabīlan
Look how they strike for you comparisons;1009 but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way.
[1009] From their own imaginations in order to deny and discredit you.

O Messenger! You should see and be amazed at how they can describe you with such false attributes, i.e. they said, “He is a magician”, “He has been spellbound”, and “He is insane”, so they deviated from the truth because of that. They are incapable of treading the path towards guidance and of questioning your truthfulness and honesty.
See how they call you names3. Thus they have gone astray and cannot find a way.
[3] Such as a magician, a poet, a liar, a madman, and a bewitched.
See how they coin similitudes for you, so they have gone astray, and they cannot find a (Right) Path.
See how they coin similitudes for thee, so that they are all astray and cannot find a road!
See what kinds of comparisons they make for thee! But they have gone astray, and never a way will they be able to find!
See what likenesses do they apply to you, so they have gone astray, therefore they shall not be able to find a way.
Look how they strike similitudes for you, so they have erred away; then they are unable to (find) a way!
