سورة البقرة، الآية ٥٣
وَإِذْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْفُرْقَانَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ ٥٣
wa-idh ātaynā mūsā l-kitāba wal-fur'qāna laʿallakum tahtadūna
And [recall] when We gave Moses the Scripture and criterion27 that perhaps you would be guided.
[27] Differentiating between truth and falsehood. "The Scripture and criterion" refers to the Torah.
Verse 53 of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:53), a Medinan surah, is in juz 1, on page 8 of the mushaf. Read it in Arabic with its transliteration, translations and tafsir, and listen to it recited by 69 reciters.

Also, remember that Allah’s giving Moses (peace be upon him) the Torah as a criterion between truth and falsehood, discriminating between guidance and misguidance, so that you might be guided to the truth through it, were from the blessings of Allah.
And [remember] when We gave Moses the Scripture and the criterion30, so that you may be guided.
[30] Differentiating between truth and falsehood. "The Scripture and the criterion" refers to the Torah.
And (remember) when We gave Mûsâ (Moses) the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah)] and the criterion (of right and wrong) so that you may be guided aright."
And when We gave unto Moses the Scripture and the criterion (of right and wrong), that ye might be led aright.
And remember We gave Moses the Scripture and the Criterion (Between right and wrong): There was a chance for you to be guided aright.
And when We gave Musa the Book and the distinction that you might walk aright.
And (remember) as We brought Musa (Moses) the Book and the all-distinctive Furqan, (Literally: the Criterion for right and wrong) that possibly you would be guided.
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ بَصَآئِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
And We gave Moses the Scripture, after We had destroyed the former generations, as enlightenment for the people and guidance and mercy that they might be reminded.
