Biography of Ibrahim Jamal Al-Qarajawi

His name is Ibrahim Jamal Ibrahim Suleiman. Ibrahim Jamal Al-Qarajawi was born in 1407 AH in the village of Saadat Abu Khalil, in the Faqous district of Sharqia Governorate, Egypt. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Zagazig University (2011), as well as the Tajweed diploma and the higher (‘Aliya) and specialization diplomas in the Quranic readings from the Shubra Institute of Quranic Readings in Cairo Governorate. He also earned a licentiate in the Quranic readings and their sciences from Al-Azhar University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Islamic Sharia.

In 2009, Ibrahim Jamal Al-Qarajawi received a scholarship to study at the Faculty of the Holy Quran at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia. He has led prayers in many mosques in Egypt and abroad, and he now serves as an imam and khatib with the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf in Nasr City, Cairo Governorate.

He has recited the Quran to many sheikhs from Egypt and elsewhere, including:

  • 2. Sheikh Ahmed Issa Al-Masarawi.
  • 3. Sheikh Abdel Rashid Ali Sufi.
  • 4. Sheikh Reda Abdel Mohsen.
  • 5. Sheikh Mohamed Al-Munshid.

The sheikh is recording the ten readings, each narration separately, with the recordings approved by the Committee for the Revision of the Mushaf at the venerable Al-Azhar. Many of his recitations are broadcast on Quran radio stations in the Muslim world and on numerous Quranic websites.
