حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏

"‏ إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَلاَ تَقُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْنِي خَرَجْتُ ‏"

Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated from his father that :

the Messenger of Allah said: "When the Iqamah is called for the prayer, then do not stand until you see that I have come out."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ) بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ السِّمْسَارُ الْمَعْرُوفُ بِمَرْدَوَيْهِ ثِقَةٌ حَافِظٌ. قَوْلُهُ : ( إِذَا أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ ) أَيْ إِذَا ذُكِرَ أَلْفَاظُ الْإِقَامَةِ ( فَلَا تَقُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْنِي خَرَجْت ) أَيْ مِنْ الْحُجْرَةِ الشَّرِيفَةِ فَقُومُوا , قَالَ الْحَافِظُ فِي الْفَتْحِ : قَالَ مَالِكٌ فِي الْمُوَطَّأِ : لَمْ أَسْمَعْ فِي قِيَامِ النَّاسِ حِينَ تُقَامُ الصَّلَاةُ بِحَدٍّ مَحْدُودٍ إِلَّا أَنِّي أَرَى ذَلِكَ عَلَى طَاقَةِ النَّاسِ , فَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ الثَّقِيلَ وَالْخَفِيفَ , وَذَهَبَ الْأَكْثَرُونَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ إِذَا كَانَ الْإِمَامُ مَعَهُمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَمْ يَقُومُوا حَتَّى تَفْرُغَ الْإِقَامَةُ , وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ…

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When the Iqama is pronounced do not get up till you see me Ibn Hatim was in doubt whether it was said:" When the Iqama is pronounced" or" When call is made".

the prophet (ﷺ) said; When the Iqamah for prayer is pronounced, do not stand until you see me. Abu Dawud said: this has been narrated by Ayyub and Hajjaj al-Sawwaf from Yahya and Hisham al-Duatawa’i in a similar way, saying : Yahya wrote to me (in this way). And this has been narrated by Mu’awiyah…
