حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ، وَأَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِمَكَّةَ ‏

"‏ مَا أَطْيَبَكِ مِنْ بَلَدٍ وَأَحَبَّكِ إِلَىَّ وَلَوْلاَ أَنَّ قَوْمِي أَخْرَجُونِي مِنْكِ مَا سَكَنْتُ غَيْرَكِ ‏"

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said about Makkah: "How sweet of a land you are and how dear you are to me, and if it were not that my people expelled me from you, I would not have lived in other than you."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْبَصْرِيُّ ) الْحَرَشِيُّ ( حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ) النُّمَيْرِيُّ أَبُو سُلَيْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ صَدُوقٌ لَهُ خَطَأٌ كَثِيرٌ مِنْ الثَّامِنَةِ ( وَأَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ ) اِسْمُهُ عَامِرُ بْنُ وَائِلَةَ اللَّيْثِيُّ. قَوْلُهُ : ( قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَكَّةَ ) أَيْ خِطَابًا لَهَا حِينَ وَدَاعِهَا وَذَلِكَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ ( مَا أَطْيَبَك مِنْ بَلَدٍ ) صِيغَةُ تَعَجُّبٍ " وَأَحَبَّك إِلَيَّ " عَطْفٌ عَلَيْهِ وَالْأُولَى بِالنِّسْبَةِ إِلَى حَدِّ ذَاتِهَا أَوْ لِلْإِطْلَاقِ وَالثَّانِيَةُ لِلتَّخْصِيصِ " وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمِي أَخْرَجُونِي" أَيْ صَارُوا سَبَبًا لِخُرُوجِي " مَا سَكَنْت غَي…

Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s messenger as saying to Mecca, “What a fine town you are, and how dear you are to me! Were it not that my people expelled me from you, I would live nowhere else.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan sahih tradition whose isnad is gharlb.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَكَّةَ: «مَا أَطْيَبَكِ مِنْ بَلَدٍ وَأَحَبَّكِ إِلَيَّ وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمِي أَخْرَجُونِي مِنْكِ مَا سَكَنْتُ غَيْرَكِ»…

"I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) standing at Al-Hazwarah, and he said: "By Allah! You are the best of Allah's earth, and the most beloved of Allah's earth to Allah, and if it were not that I was expelled from you I would not have left."

إِنَّكِ لَخَيْرُ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ وَأَحَبُّ أَرْضِ اللَّهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَلَوْلاَ أَنِّي أُخْرِجْتُ مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ ‏"
