Chapter: What Has Been Related About The Recitation For The Isha Prayer

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
قَرَأَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
Al-Bara bin Azib narrated:
"The Prophet would recite: By the fig and the olive for Isha."

وعن البراء بن عازب رضي الله عنهما قال :سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قرأ في العشاء بالتين والزيتون، فما سمعت أحدًا أحسن صوتا منه .((متفق عليه)) .
Al-Barā ibn ‘Āzib (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey and he performed the ‘Ishā prayer, reciting in one of the two Rak‘ahs Sūrat At-Tīn. I have never heard anyone with a better voice or recitation than his.
كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الآخِرَةَ فَقَرَأَ فِي إِحْدَى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ { وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ}
يَقْرَأُ بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْعِشَاءَ فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا…
فَقَرَأَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ .
