Narrator:An-Nu‘mān ibn Bashīr

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ، يَقُولُ أَلَسْتُمْ فِي طَعَامٍ وَشَرَابٍ مَا شِئْتُمْ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ نَبِيَّكُمْ صلى الله عليه وسلم

وَمَا يَجِدُ مِنَ الدَّقَلِ مَا يَمْلأُ بَطْنَهُ

Simak bin Harb said:

"I heard An-Nu'man bin Bashir saying: 'Do you (people) not have what you wish of food and drink?' I have seen your Prophet and he did not have even enough daqal (dry dates) to fill his stomach.'"

قَوْلُهُ : ( يَقُولُ أَلَسْتُمْ ) الْخِطَابُ لِلصَّحَابَةِ بَعْدَهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ التَّابِعِينَ ( فِي طَعَامٍ وَشَرَابٍ مَا شِئْتُمْ ) قَالَ الطِّيبِيُّ : صِفَةُ مَصْدَرٍ مَحْذُوفٍ أَيْ لَسْتُمْ مُنْغَمِسِينَ فِي طَعَامٍ وَشَرَابٍ مِقْدَارَ مَا شِئْتُمْ مِنْ التَّوْسِعَةِ وَالْإِفْرَاطِ فِيهِ , فَمَا مَوْصُولَةٌ وَيَجُوزُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مَصْدَرِيَّةً وَالْكَلَامُ فِيهِ تَعْيِيرٌ وَتَوْبِيخٌ وَلِذَلِكَ تَبِعَهُ بِقَوْلِهِ ( لَقَدْ رَأَيْت نَبِيَّكُمْ ) وَأَضَافَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ لِلْإِلْزَامِ حِينَ لَمْ يَقْتَدُوا بِهِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي الْإِعْرَاضِ عَنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمُسْتَلَذَّاتِهَا وَفِي التَّقْلِيلِ لِمُشْتَهَيَاتِهَا مِنْ مَأْكُولَاتِهَا وَمَشْرُوبَاتِهَا ثُمَّ ر…
