حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ النَّبِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ كُنْتُ

نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الأَضَاحِي فَوْقَ ثَلاَثٍ لِيَتَّسِعَ ذُو الطَّوْلِ عَلَى مَنْ لاَ طَوْلَ لَهُ فَكُلُوا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ وَأَطْعِمُوا وَادَّخِرُوا ‏"

Narrated Sulaiman bin Buraidah:

From his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I used to prohibit you from (eating) the meat of Sacrifice beyond three days so that those who have the ability would give to those who do not have it. So (now) eat as you like, feed others, and save from it."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( لِيَتَّسِعَ ذَوُو الطَّوْلِ ) أَيْ أَصْحَابُ الطَّوْلِ , وَذَوُو جَمْعُ ذُو , وَالطَّوْلُ بِفَتْحِ الطَّاءِ وَسُكُونِ الْوَاوِ الْقُدْرَةُ وَالْغِنَى وَالسِّعَةُ ( فَكُلُوا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ ) فِيهِ دَلِيلٌ عَلَى عَدَمِ تَقْدِيرِ الْأَكْلِ بِمِقْدَارٍ وَأَنَّ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْ أُضْحِيَّتِهِ مَا شَاءَ وَإِنْ كَثُرَ مَا لَمْ يَسْتَغْرِقْ بِقَرِينَةٍ. قَوْلُهُ : ( وَأَطْعِمُوا وَادَّخِرُوا ) بِتَشْدِيدِ الدَّالِ الْمُهْمَلَةِ وَكَأَنَّ أَصْلَهُ اذْتَخِرُوا فَأُبْدِلَتْ تَاءُ الِافْتِعَالِ بِالدَّالِ الْمُهْمَلَةِ , وَأُبْدِلَتْ الذَّالُ الْمُعْجَمَةُ أَيْضًا بِهَا , ثُمَّ أُدْغِمَتْ الْأُولَى فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَيْ اِجْعَلُوهَا ذَخِيرَةً. قَوْلُهُ : ( وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ…

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: We forbade you to eat their meat for more than three days in order that you might have abundance; now Allah has produced abundance, so you may eat, store up and seek reward. Beware, these days are days of eating, drinking and remembrance of Allah, Most High.
