Narrator:Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏

"‏ لاَ يَأْكُلُ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ لَحْمِ أُضْحِيَتِهِ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ‏"

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "None of you should eat from the meat of his sacrificial animal beyond three days."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( لَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ لَحْمِ أُضْحِيَّتِهِ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ) قَالَ الْقَاضِي عِيَاضٌ : يُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ يَكُونَ اِبْتِدَاءُ الثَّلَاثِ مِنْ يَوْمِ ذَبْحِ الْأُضْحِيَّةِ وَإِنْ ذُبِحَتْ بَعْدَ يَوْمِ النَّحْرِ , وَيُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنْ يَوْمِ النَّحْرِ وَإِنْ تَأَخَّرَ الذَّبْحُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ وَهَذَا أَظْهَرُ , وَرَجَّحَ اِبْنُ الْقَيِّمِ الْأَوَّلَ وَهَذَا الْخِلَافُ لَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِهِ فَائِدَةٌ إِلَّا بِاعْتِبَارِ الِاحْتِجَاجِ بِذَلِكَ عَلَى أَنَّ يَوْمَ الرَّابِعِ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَيَّامِ الذَّبْحِ. كَذَا فِي النَّيْلِ. قَوْلُهُ : ( وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَأَنَسٍ ) أَمَّا حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ فَأَخْرَجَهُ الشَّيْخَانِ , وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ أَنَسٍ فَلْي…

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: We forbade you to eat their meat for more than three days in order that you might have abundance; now Allah has produced abundance, so you may eat, store up and seek reward. Beware, these days are days of eating, drinking and remembrance of Allah, Most High.
