What is left of it (the sheep)? She replied: Nothing is left except its shoulder. He said: All of it is left except its shoulder

‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that they slaughtered a sheep, so the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) asked: “What is left of it?” She replied: “Nothing is left except its shoulder.” He said: “All of it is left except its shoulder.”

ذَبَحُوا شَاةً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْهَا إِلاَّ كَتِفُهَا ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ بَقِيَ كُلُّهَا غَيْرَ كَتِفِهَا ‏"

Narrated by Ā’ishah Explained

‘A’isha said the Prophet asked how much was left of a sheep which they had killed, and when she told him that only its shoulder Remained, he replied, “The whole of it is left except its shoulder.”* Tirmidhi transmitted it and said it is sahih. * Meaning that what one gives to others has lasting…
