Sunan an-Nasa'i 4651

The Prophet (ﷺ) mortgaged his armour for a quantity of barley, and I took to him some barley bread and rancid fat. I heard him saying: "The family of Muhammad never possessed a measure of wheat from dawn to dusk although they were nine houses (to feed)." [Al- Bukhari].

"‏ ما أصبح لآل محمد صاع ولا أمسى‏"

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) bought food from a Jew and pledged him his iron armor

‘Ā'ishah bint Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) bought food from a Jew and pledged him his iron armor.

اشْتَرَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا وَرَهَنَهُ دِرْعَهُ‏.‏

"He put his armor in pledge for that with a Jew in Al-Madinah, and he took some barley from him for his family.

رَهَنَ دِرْعًا لَهُ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ شَعِيرًا لأَهْلِهِ ‏.‏

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) died while his (iron) armor was mortgaged to a Jew for thirty Sas of barley.

تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَدِرْعُهُ مَرْهُونَةٌ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ بِثَلاَثِينَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ‏.‏

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) bought some grain from a Jew on credit and gave him a coat-of- mail of his as a pledge.

اشْتَرَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا بِنَسِيئَةٍ فَأَعْطَاهُ دِرْعًا لَهُ رَهْنًا ‏.‏

We argued at Ibrahim's dwelling place about mortgaging in Salam. He said, "Aisha said, 'The Prophet (ﷺ) bought some foodstuff from a Jew on credit and the payment was to be made by a definite period, and he mortgaged his iron armor to him."

اشْتَرَى مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا إِلَى أَجَلٍ مَعْلُومٍ، وَارْتَهَنَ مِنْهُ دِرْعًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ‏.‏
