أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا قَزَعَةَ الْبَاهِلِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ الْمَكِّيِّ، قَالَ سُئِلَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ، يَرَى الْبَيْتَ أَيَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ قَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أَظُنُّ أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا إِلاَّ الْيَهُودَ

حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ نَكُنْ نَفْعَلُهُ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Al-Muhajir Al-Makki said:

"Jabir bin Abdullah was asked whether a man should raise his hands when he sees the House. He said: "I do not think that anyone does that except the Jews. We performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah and we did not do that." (Daif)

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan al-Nasa'i

قَوْله ( يَفْعَل هَذَا ) أَيْ الرَّفْع فِي غَيْر مَحَلّه أَوْ الرَّفْع عِنْد رُؤْيَة الْبَيْت وَذَلِكَ لِأَنَّ الْيَهُود أَعْدَاء الْبَيْت فَإِذَا رَأَوْهُ رَفَعُوا أَيْدِيهمْ لِهَدْمِهِ وَتَحْقِيره وَلَيْسَ الْمُرَاد أَنَّ الْيَهُود يَزُورُونَهُ وَيَرْفَعُونَ الْأَيْدِي عِنْده بِذَلِكَ وَاَللَّه تَعَالَى أَعْلَم.…

Al-Muhajir al-Makki said that Jabir was asked about the man who raises his hands on seeing the House and replied, “We have performed the pilgrimage along with the Prophet and we did not do so.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Weak Sunan Abu Dawud 1870

was asked about a man who looks at the House (the Ka'bah) and raises his hands (for prayer). He replied: I did not find anyone doing this except the Jews. We performed hajj along with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), but he did not do so.

، يَرَى الْبَيْتَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا إِلاَّ الْيَهُودَ وَقَدْ حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَفْعَلُهُ ‏.‏
