أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ

جَاءَ السُّودَانُ يَلْعَبُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَىِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فَدَعَانِي فَكُنْتُ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ فَوْقِ عَاتِقِهِ فَمَا زِلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى كُنْتُ أَنَا الَّتِي انْصَرَفْتُ ‏.‏

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:

"The black people came and played in front of the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of 'Eid. He called me and I watched them from over his shoulder, and I continued to watch them until I was the one who moved away."

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan al-Nasa'i

قَوْله ( اِطَّلَعَ إِلَيْهِمْ ) أَيْ نَظَرَ وَلِكَوْنِ اللَّعِب كَانَ بِالسِّلَاحِ عُدَّ مِنْ بَاب إِعْدَاد الْقُوَّة لِلْأَعْدَاءِ فَلِذَلِكَ لَعِبُوا فِي حَضْرَتِهِ صَلَّى اللَّه تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِد وَقَرَّرَهُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَفِي الْحَدِيث دَلَالَة عَلَى جَوَاز نَظَرِ الْمَرْأَةِ إِلَى الرِّجَال إِذَا كَانَ الْمَقْصِدُ النَّظَرَ إِلَى لَعِبِهِمْ مَثَلًا لَا إِلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ وَقِيلَ كَانَ قَبْلَ بُلُوغِ عَائِشَةَ أَوْ قَبْلَ تَحْرِيمِ النَّظَرِ وَاَللَّه تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ.…

"Umar came in when the Ethiopians were playing in the masjid. Umar, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with him, rebuked them, but the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Let them be there, O Umar, for they are Banu Arfidah.'"

بَيْنَا الْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِحِرَابِهِمْ دَخَلَ عُمَرُ، فَأَهْوَى إِلَى الْحَصَى فَحَصَبَهُمْ بِهَا‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ دَعْهُمْ يَا عُمَرُ ‏"
