Narrator:Umar ibn al-Khattāb

أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ حَبِيبٍ - عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عُمَرَ، قَالَ

صَلاَةُ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَالْفِطْرِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَالنَّحْرِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَالسَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَانِ

It was narrated that 'Umar said:

"The prayer for jumu'ah is two rak'ahs, and for Al-Fitr is two rak'ahs, and for An-Nahr is two rak'ahs, and for traveling is two rak'ahs, complete and not shortened, on the tongue of the Prophet (ﷺ)."

Reported by An-Nasa’i (No. 1440).

"The prayer of Al-Adha is two rak'ahs, the prayer of Al-Fitr is two rak'ahs, the prayer of the traveler is two rak'ahs and the jumu'ah prayer is two rak'ahs, complete and not shortened, upon the tongue of the Prophet (ﷺ).

صَلاَةُ الأَضْحَى رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلاَةُ الْفِطْرِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلاَةُ الْمُسَافِرِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلاَةُ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَانِ تَمَامٌ لَيْسَ بِقَصْرٍ عَلَى لِسَانِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏
