حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ عَنْ السَّبْقِ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَالِحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا سَبْقَ إِلَّا فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ حَافِرٍ

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Competitions with prizes are allowed only in camel racing, horse racing, and shooting arrows."

لاَ سَبْقَ إِلاَّ فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ فِي حَافِرٍ أَوْ نَصْلٍ ‏"

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said ,”Prize money is allowed only for racing camels, shooting arrows or racing horses.” Related by Ahmad and the three lmams. Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.
