حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ رَبِّهِ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ عَبْدَ رَبِّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ قَالَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو بَكْرَةَ فِي شَهَادَةٍ فَقَامَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُقِمْ الرَّجُلَ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ فِيهِ أَوْ قَالَ إِذَا أَقَامَ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ فَلَا يَجْلِسْ فِيهِ وَلَا يَمْسَحْ الرَّجُلُ يَدَهُ بِثَوْبِ مَنْ لَا يَمْلِكُ

None should make one'& brother stand and then sit at his place (and it was common with) Ibn Umar that when any person stood in the company (with a view to making room for him) he did not sit there.

لاَ يُقِيمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ ‏"

Authentic Mishkat al-Masabih 1386

Jabir reported God’s Messenger as saying, “None of you must make his brother get up on Friday, then move to his place and sit in it, but should ask those present to make room." Muslim transmitted it.

" لَا يُقِيمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ثُمَّ يُخَالِفُ إِلَى مَقْعَدِهِ فَيَقْعُدَ فِيهِ وَلَكِن يَقُول: افسحوا "

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 6270

The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade that a man should be made to get up from his seat so that another might sit on it, but one should make room and spread out. Ibn `Umar disliked that a man should get up from his seat and then somebody else sit at his place.

نَهَى أَنْ يُقَامَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ وَيَجْلِسَ فِيهِ آخَرُ، وَلَكِنْ تَفَسَّحُوا وَتَوَسَّعُوا‏.‏

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 911

I heard Nazi' saying, "Ibn `Umar, said, 'The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade that a man should make another man to get up to sit in his place' ". I said to Nafi`, 'Is it for Jumua prayer only?' He replied, "For Jumua prayer and any other (prayer)."

يُقِيمَ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ مِنْ مَقْعَدِهِ وَيَجْلِسَ فِيهِ‏.‏

Authentic Jami' at-Tirmidhi 2749

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Let one of you not have his brother stand from his seat then sit in it."
