Musnad Ahmad 18750

One night a house in Medina was burnt with its occupants. The Prophet (ﷺ) spoke about them, saying, "This fire is indeed your enemy, so whenever you go to bed, put it out to protect yourselves."

إِنَّ هَذِهِ النَّارَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ، فَإِذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا عَنْكُمْ ‏"

This fire is your enemy, so put it out before going to bed

Abu Mūsa al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: One night, a house in Madīnah was burnt with its inhabitants inside. When this was reported to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) he said: “This fire is your enemy, so put it out before going to bed."

إِنَّ هَذِهِ النَّارَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ فَإِذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا عَنْكُمْ ‏"

Narrated by Abu Mūsa al-Ash‘ari Explained

"A house burned down in Al-Madinah, with its occupants inside. The Prophet(ﷺ) was told of what had happened, and he said: 'This fire is an enemy to you. When you go to sleep, extinguish it.'"

"‏ إِنَّمَا هَذِهِ النَّارُ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ فَإِذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا عَنْكُمْ ‏"

A house in Al- Madinah caught fire at night and the roof and walls fell down upon the occupants. When this was reported to Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) he said, "Fire is your enemy; so put it out before you go to bed". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Abu Musa said, "A house in Madina burned down with its inhabitants during the night. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was informed about that and said, 'Fire is your enemy. When you go to sleep, put out the fires.'"

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not keep the fire burning in your homes when you go to bed." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

"‏لا تتركوا النار في بيوتكم حين تنامون‏"
