حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ سَيِّدُ قُرَيْشٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّيِّدُ اللَّهُ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ أَفْضَلُهَا فِيهَا قَوْلًا وَأَعْظَمُهَا فِيهَا طَوْلًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِقَوْلِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَجِرَّنَّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَوْ الشَّيَاطِينُ
