حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فَأَتَانَا بِزُبْدٍ وَكُتْلَةٍ فَأُسْقِطَ ذُبَابٌ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَجَعَلَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَمْقُلُهُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ فِيهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا خَالُ مَا تَصْنَعُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَحَدَ جَنَاحَيْ الذُّبَابِ سُمٌّ وَالْآخَرَ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَامْقُلُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَّ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الشِّفَاءَ

“On one of the wings of a fly there is a poison and on the other is the cure. If it falls into the food, then dip it into it, for it puts the poison first and holds back the cure.”

"‏ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَىِ الذُّبَابِ سُمٌّ وَفِي الآخَرِ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَامْقُلُوهُ فِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ السُّمَّ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الشِّفَاءَ ‏"
