حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ

رَجُلاً، مَرَّ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَبُولُ فَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ ‏.‏

Ibn Umar reported:

A person happened to pass by the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when he was making water and saluted him, but he did not respond to his salutation.

Reported by Muslim (No. 370).

Explanation in Arabic

أخبر ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما أن رجلًا مَرَّ ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يبول، فسلم الرجل على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فلم يرد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على الرجل سلامه، ويحتمل أنه أخر الرد حتى يتطهر؛ لتعظيم اسم الله تعالى أو أنه تركه تأديبا له.

كراهة ذكر الله تعالى حال قضاء الحاجة، ولو كان واجبا بحسب الأصل؛ كرد السلام، وأن المسلِّم في هذا الحالة لا يستحق جوابًا.
