حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ إِدْرِيسَ، - قَالَ عَمْرٌو حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَوْدِيُّ، - عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ سُئِلَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ هَلْ خَضَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ إِنَّهُ

لَمْ يَكُنْ رَأَى مِنَ الشَّيْبِ إِلاَّ -

Ibn Sirin reported:

Anas b. Malik was asked whether Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) dyed his hair. He said: He had not become old enough to have white hair. Ibn Idris said that he had a few white hair. Abu Bakr and Umar, however, dyed hair with hina' (henna).

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَأَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيْنَا شَعَرًا مِنْ شَعَرِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَخْضُوبًا

"I heard Jabir bin Samurah being asked about the gray hairs of the Prophet [SAW]. He said: 'If he put oil on his head they could not be seen, but if he did not put oil on his head, they could be seen.'"
