Chapter: The Permissibility Of Accepting A Reward For Reciting Ruqyah With Qur'an And Supplications

Authentic hadith of Sahih Muslim Muttafaq ‘alayh (Bukhari and Muslim) Sahih Muslim 2201d

وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ‏.‏ نَحْوَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَقَامَ مَعَهَا رَجُلٌ مِنَّا مَا كُنَّا نَأْبِنُهُ بِرُقْيَةٍ ‏.‏

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Hisham with the same chain of transmitters and he said:

There stood up with her a person amongst us whom we did not know before as an invocator.

Reported by Muslim (No. 2201d, 2201c), Al-Bukhari (No. 5007) and Ahmad (No. 11361).
