Sahih Muslim 2082b

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Hisham b. 'Urwa with a slight variation of wording.

وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالاَ…

Narrated by Ā’ishah

"The only bed that the Messenger of Allah had which he slept was [made of a tanned skin] stuffed with palm-fibres." [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. He Said: There are narrations on thus topic from Hafsah and Jabir.

فِرَاشُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الَّذِي يَنَامُ عَلَيْهِ أَدَمٌ حَشْوُهُ لِيفٌ ‏.‏

Narrated by Ā’ishah

‘A’isha said the bedding on which God’s messenger slept consisted of leather stuffed with palm fibre. (Bukhari and Muslim)

The bedding of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was made of leather stuffed with palm fiber. In the version of Muslim: The pillow of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), which he reclined against, was made of leather stuffed with palm fiber.

وِسَادَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الَّتِي يَتَّكِئُ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ ‏.‏

The bed mattress of the Prophet (ﷺ) was made of a leather case stuffed with palm fibres.

كَانَ فِرَاشُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ أَدَمٍ، وَحَشْوُهُ مِنْ لِيفٍ‏.‏

Narrated by Ā’ishah

The pillow of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on which he slept at night (according to the version on Ibn Mani') was of leather stuffed with palm fibre (according to the agreed version).

يَنَامُ عَلَيْهَا بِاللَّيْلِ - ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا - مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ ‏.‏

The bedding of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) consisted of leather stuffed with palm fibre.

ضِجْعَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ ‏.‏

“The bed of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was made of leather, stuffed with fibers of date-palm trees.”

كَانَ ضِجَاعُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَدَمًا حَشْوُهُ لِيفٌ ‏.‏

Narrated by Ā’ishah

Some relative of Umm Salamah said: The bed of the Prophet (ﷺ) was set as a man is laid in his grave; the mosque was towards his head.

كَانَ فِرَاشُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوًا مِمَّا يُوضَعُ الإِنْسَانُ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَكَانَ الْمَسْجِدُ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ ‏.‏
