حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى الْعَنَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كُنَّا

نَنْبِذُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سِقَاءٍ يُوكَى أَعْلاَهُ وَلَهُ عَزْلاَءُ نَنْبِذُهُ غُدْوَةً فَيَشْرَبُهُ عِشَاءً وَنَنْبِذُهُ عِشَاءً فَيَشْرَبُهُ غُدْوَةً ‏.‏

'A'isha reported:

We prepared Nabidh for Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in a waterskin, the upper part of which was tied and it (the waterskin) had a hole (in its lower part). We prepared the Nabidh in the morning and he drank it in the evening and we prepared the Nabidh in the night, and he would drink it in the morning.

قَوْله : ( عَنْ الْحَسَن عَنْ أُمّه ) هُوَ الْحَسَن الْبَصْرِيّ , وَأُمّه اِسْمهَا خَيْرَة , وَكَانَتْ مَوْلَاة لِأُمّ سَلَمَة زَوْج النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , رَوَى عَنْهَا اِبْنَاهَا الْحَسَن وَسَعِيد. وَأَمَّا قَوْله فِي حَدِيث عَائِشَة : ( يُنْبَذ غَدْوَة فَيَشْرَبهُ عِشَاء وَيُنْبَذ عِشَاء فَيَشْرَبهُ غَدْوَة ) فَلَيْسَ مُخَالِفًا لِحَدِيثِ اِبْن عَبَّاس فِي الشُّرْب إِلَى ثَلَاث ; لِأَنَّ الشُّرْب فِي يَوْم لَا يَمْنَع الزِّيَادَة ; وَقَالَ بَعْضهمْ : لَعَلَّ حَدِيث عَائِشَة كَانَ زَمَن الْحَرّ وَحَيْثُ يُخْشَى فَسَاده فِي الزِّيَادَة عَلَى يَوْم , وَحَدِيث اِبْن عَبَّاس فِي زَمَن يُؤْمَن فِيهِ التَّغَيُّر قَبْل الثَّلَاث , وَقِيلَ : حَدِيث عَائِشَة مَحْمُول عَلَى نَب…

Authentic Mishkat al-Masabih 4287

We used to steep dates for God’s messenger in a skin which was tied at the top and had a mouth. What we steeped in the morning he would drink in the evening, and what we steeped in the evening he would drink in the morning. Muslim transmitted it.
