Sahih Muslim 1289b

Chapter: It is recommended to pray Subh when it is still dark on the day of sacrifice in Al-Muzdalifah, and to do it very early after ascertaining that dawn has broken

Authentic hadith of Sahih Muslim Sahih Muslim 1289b

وَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ قَبْلَ وَقْتِهَا بِغَلَسٍ ‏.‏

This hadith has been transmitted by Al-A`mash with a slight variation of words, i.e. he said before its time when it was still dark.

Reported by Muslim (No. 1289b, 1289a) and Ahmad (No. 3455, 3841).

Authentic Mishkat al-Masabih 2608

‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud said he never saw God’s messenger observe a prayer out of its proper time with the exception of two, the sunset and the evening prayer, which he combined, and the dawn prayer which he observed that day(i.e. al-Muzdalifa) before its proper time. Bukhari and Muslim.

We came back along with Ibn 'Umar till we reached Muzdalifa. There he led us in the sunset and 'Isha' prayers with one iqama and we then proceeded and he said: This is how Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) led us in prayer at this place.
