وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: نُزُولُ الْأَبْطَحِ لَيْسَ بِسُنَّةٍ إِنَّمَا نَزَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ أسمح لِخُرُوجِهِ إِذا خرج

‘A’isha said that stopping at al-Abtah was not a sunna ; God’s messenger stopped there simply because it was easier for him to depart from when he left. Bukhari and Muslim.

A’ishah (RAA) narrated that she did not use to do that i.e. rest at al-Muhassab and said, ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) rested at al-Muhassab, because it was easier to stop there and depart from (i.e. it is not a Sunnah to rest there`). Related by Muslim.

Authentic Sunan Abu Dawud 2008

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) alighted at al-Muhassab so that it might be easier for him to proceed (to Medina). It is not a sunnah (i.e. a rite of Hajj). Anyone who desires may alight there, and anyone who does not want may not alight.

نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمُحَصَّبَ لِيَكُونَ أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ وَلَيْسَ بِسُنَّةٍ فَمَنْ شَاءَ نَزَلَهُ وَمَنْ شَاءَ لَمْ يَنْزِلْهُ ‏.‏

Authentic Sunan Abu Dawud 2009

Abu Rafi’ said The Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) did not command me to align there. But when I pitched his tent there, he alighted. The narrator Musaddad said “He (Abu Rafi’) kept watch over the luggage of the Prophet(ﷺ). The narrator ‘Uthman said That is in Al Abtah.

لَمْ يَأْمُرْنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ أَنْزِلَهُ وَلَكِنْ ضَرَبْتُ قُبَّتَهُ فَنَزَلَهُ ‏.‏
