حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَادَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏

"‏ أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ كَلِمَةُ عَدْلٍ عِنْدَ سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ ‏"

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The best of jihad is a just word spoken to an unjust ruler.”

Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 4011), Abu Dawud (No. 4344) and At-Tirmidhi (No. 2174).

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan Ibn Majah

قَوْله ( أَفْضَل الْجِهَاد إِلَخْ ) قِيلَ لِأَنَّ مَنْ جَاهَدَ الْعَدُوّ فَهُوَ مُتَرَدِّد بَيْن رَجَاء وَخَوْف وَبَيْن أَنْ يَكُون الْغَلَبَة لَهُ أَوْ لِلْعَدُوِّ وَهَاهُنَا الْغَالِب الْهَلَاك وَالتَّلَف وَغَضَب السُّلْطَان فَصَارَ أَفْضَل وَأَيْضًا الْغَالِب أَنَّ النَّاس يُتَّفَقُونَ عَلَى تَخْطِئَته وَتَوْبِيخه وَقَلَّ مَنْ يُسَاعِدهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ بِخِلَافِ الْقِتَال مِنْ الْكَفَرَة.…
