حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ سَتَرْتُ سَهْوَةً لِي - تَعْنِي الدَّاخِلَ - بِسِتْرٍ فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ هَتَكَهُ فَجَعَلْتُ مِنْهُ مَنْبُوذَتَيْنِ

فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مُتَّكِئًا عَلَى إِحْدَاهُمَا ‏.‏

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:

“I covered a small room closet of mine, meaning, from the inside, with a curtain on which there were images. When the Prophet (ﷺ) came, he tore it down, so I made two pillows from it, and I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) reclining on one of them.”

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan Ibn Majah

قَوْله ( سَهْوَة لِي ) بِفَتْحِ الْمُهْمَلَة بَيْت صَغِير مُنْحَدِر فِي الْأَرْض قَلِيلًا وَقِيلَ كَالصُّفَّةِ تَكُون بَيْن يَدَيْ الْبَيْت وَقِيلَ شَبِيه بِالرَّفِّ وَالطَّاق يُوضَع فِيهِ الشَّيْء ( مُسْنَدَتَيْنِ ) أَيْ مِخَدَّتَيْنِ وَفِي الزَّوَائِد فِي إِسْنَاده أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ مُتَّفَق عَلَى تَضْعِيفه وَالْحَدِيث فِي الْبُخَارِيِّ مَا عَدَا قَوْله ( فَرَأَيْت النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَّكِئًا عَلَى إِحْدَاهُمَا ) وَالْبَاقِي نَحْوه.…

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 2479

Aisha said that she hung a curtain decorated with pictures (of animals) on a cupboard. The Prophet (ﷺ) tore that curtain and she turned it into two cushions which remained in the house for the Prophet (ﷺ) to sit on.

أَنَّهَا كَانَتِ اتَّخَذَتْ عَلَى سَهْوَةٍ لَهَا سِتْرًا فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ، فَهَتَكَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَاتَّخَذَتْ مِنْهُ نُمْرُقَتَيْنِ، فَكَانَتَا فِي الْبَيْتِ يَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهِمَا‏.‏
