حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْبَرَّاءُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي جَدَّتِي أَمُّ عَاصِمٍ، قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا نُبَيْشَةُ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَنَحْنُ نَأْكُلُ فِي قَصْعَةٍ فَقَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏

"‏ مَنْ أَكَلَ فِي قَصْعَةٍ فَلَحِسَهَا اسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَهُ الْقَصْعَةُ ‏"

It was narrated that Umm ‘Asim said:

“Nubaishah, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), entered upon us when we were eating from a bowl. He said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever eats from a bowl and cleans it, the bowl will pray for forgiveness for him.”

Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 3271, 3272), At-Tirmidhi (No. 1804), Ahmad (No. 19799) and Ad-Darimi (No. 1941).

قَوْله ( اِسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَهُ الْقَصْعَة ) حَقِيقَته غَيْر مُسْتَبْعَدَة لِمَنْ يَعْلَم قُدْرَة الْخَالِق ذَكَرَهُ الدَّمِيرِيُّ وَهَذَا يُؤَوِّل الْحَقِيقَة وَقَدْ يُؤَوَّل ذَلِكَ بِاسْتِغْفَارِ مَنْ يَحْتَاج إِلَى اِسْتِعْمَال الْقَصْعَة بَعْد ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا وَجَدَهَا نَقِيَّة يَطِيب بِقَلْبِهِ وَذَلِكَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الِاسْتِغْفَار مِمَّا فِيهَا.…

Weak Sunan Ibn Majah 3272

“My grandmother narrated to me from a man of Hudhail who was called Nubaishah Al-Khair. She said: ‘Nubaishah entered upon us when we were eating from a bowl of ours. He said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever eats from a bowl then cleans it, the bowl will pray for forgiveness for him.’”

Narrated by Nubaysha al-Hudhalī

Nubaisha reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone eats from a dish and licks it, the dish will ask forgiveness for him.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

وَعَن نُبَيْشَة عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ أَكَلَ فِي قَصْعَةٍ فَلَحَسَهَا اسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَهُ الْقَصْعَةُ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ…

Nubaisha reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone eats from a dish and licks it, the dish will express to him the wish that God may free him from hell as he has freed it from the devil.” Razin transmitted it.
