حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ الْكِنْدِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم

ـ حَرَّمَ أَشْيَاءَ حَتَّى ذَكَرَ الْحُمُرَ الإِنْسِيَّةَ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib Al-Kindi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade several things, until he mentioned (the meat of) domesticated donkeys.

قَوْله ( ذَكَرَ الْحُمُر الْإِنْسِيَّة ) الْمَشْهُور كَسْر الْهَمْزَة وَسُكُون النُّون نِسْبَة إِلَى الْإِنْس الْمُقَابِل لِلْجِنِّ وَالْمُرَاد الْأَهْلِيَّة وَجُوِّزَ ضَمّ الْهَمْزَة وَسُكُون النُّون نِسْبَة إِلَى الْإِنْس وَهُوَ أَيْضًا خِلَاف التَّوَحُّش وَفِي الزَّوَائِد إِسْنَاده صَحِيح الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ ذَكَرَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَات وَلَمْ أَرَ مَنْ تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ وَبَاقِي رِجَال الْإِسْنَاد عَلَى شَرْط مُسْلِمٍ.…

He said, referring to the day of Khaibar, that God’s messenger declared domestic asses, the flesh of mules, every beast of prey with a fang and every bird with a talon to be unlawful. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.
