حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ:

تَسَحَّرْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ هُوَ النَّهَارُ إِلاَّ أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تَطْلُعْ ‏.[ قالَ ابُو إسحاق: حديث حُذَيْفَةَ مَنْسوخٌ لَيْسَ بشَيْء.]‏

It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:

“I ate Suhur with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when it was daybreak but the sun had not yet risen.”

[(One of the narrators) Abu Ishaq said: “The Hadith of Hudhaifah is abrogated and does not mean anything.”]

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan Ibn Majah

قَوْله ( هُوَ النَّهَار إِلَّا أَنَّ الشَّمْس لَمْ تَطْلُع ) الظَّاهِر أَنَّ الْمُرَاد بِالنَّهَارِ هُوَ النَّهَار الشَّرْعِيّ وَالْمُرَاد بِالشَّمْسِ الْفَجْر لِكَوْنِهِ مِنْ آثَار الشَّمْس وَالْمُرَاد أَنَّهُ فِي قُرْب طُلُوع الْفَجْر بِحَيْثُ يُقَال النَّهَار نَعَمْ مَا كَانَ الْفَجْر طَالِعًا وَقِيلَ الْحَدِيث مَنْسُوخ وَهُوَ مُشْكِل بِأَنَّ الصَّوْم قَدْ نُسِخَ فِيهِ التَّشْدِيد إِلَى التَّخْفِيف دُون الْعَكْس وَاَللَّه أَعْلَم وَكَانَ هَذَا هُوَ الْمُرَاد بِمَا فِي بَعْض نُسَخ الْكِتَاب قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاق حَدِيث حُذَيْفَة مَنْسُوخ وَلَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ.…

We took Suhur (predawn meal) with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and then we stood up for (Fajr) Salat (prayer). It was asked: "How long was the gap between the two?" He replied: "The time required for the recitation of fifty Ayat." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

وعن زيد بن ثابت رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ تسحرنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم قمنا إلى الصلاة قيل كم كان بينهما‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ خمسون آية ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
