Chapter: What was narrated concerning the virtues of Ramadan
Narrator:Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
" إِنَّ لِلَّهِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ فِطْرٍ عُتَقَاءَ وَذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ "
It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“At every breaking of the fast Allah has people whom He frees (from the Fire), and that happens every night.”
Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 1643).
Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan Ibn Majah
قَوْله ( عِنْد كُلّ فِطْر عُتَقَاء ) وَذَلِكَ فِي كُلّ لَيْلَة بِمَنْزِلَةِ التَّأْكِيد لِمَا قَالَهُ وَإِلَّا فَقَوْله عِنْد كُلّ فِطْر يَشْمَل كُلّ لَيْلَة بِعُمُومِهِ وَفِي الزَّوَائِد رِجَال إِسْنَاده ثِقَات لِأَنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَان وَطَلْحَة بْن نَافِع رِوَايَته عَنْ جَابِر صَحِيحَة قَالَ شُعْبَة وَقَوْل الْبَزَّار إِنَّ الْأَعْمَش لَمْ يَسْمَع مِنْ أَبِي سُفْيَان غَرِيب فَإِنَّ رِوَايَته فِي الْكُتُب السِّتَّة وَهُوَ مَعْرُوف بَلْ بِالرِّوَايَةِ عَنْهُ.…
