Narrator:Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏

"‏ أَوْتِرُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُصْبِحُوا ‏"

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said:

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Pray Witr before morning comes.’”

Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 1189), Muslim (No. 754a), At-Tirmidhi (No. 468) and Ahmad (No. 10896).

قَوْله ( قَبْل أَنْ تُصْبِحُوا ) أَيْ تَدْخُلُوا فِي الصُّبْح وَاسْتَدَلَّ بِهِ الْمُصَنِّف عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَا يَجُوز الْوِتْر بَعْد الصُّبْح فَلَا يُقْضَى إِذَا فَاتَ لِأَنَّهُ يَسْتَلْزِم الْإِيتَار بَعْد الصُّبْح وَهُوَ دَلِيل ضَعِيف يَظْهَر ذَلِكَ بِأَدْنَى نَظَر وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَم.…

Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform Witr prayer before the morning."

أَوْتِرُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُصْبِحُوا ‏"

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Offer Witr prayer before it is morning." [Reported by Muslim].

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ اَلْخُدْرِيِّ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-قَالَ: { أَوْتِرُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُصْبِحُوا } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ .‏ 1‏ .‏ ‏1 ‏- صحيح.‏ رواه مسلم (754)‏.‏
