أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَأَلَ عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ تُصِيبُنِي الْجَنَابَةُ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ ذَكَرَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ يَرْقُدَ

O Messenger of Allah, may anyone of us sleep while being ritually impure? He said: Yes, he may sleep if he makes ablution

‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, may anyone of us sleep while being ritually impure?" He said: "Yes, he may sleep if he makes ablution."
